Peace of Mind

  • Because Rotary has 1.2 million members in clubs located in over 200 countries world-wide, there is help and guidance to protect your child where ever they are, whatever might happen
  • Rotary has connections in the highest places: after all it was Rotary that founded the United Nations in 1945. In an emergency, Rotary sees its students are immediately evacuated.
  • Because students are attached to Rotary Clubs, members will take students to places and show them things that otherwise would not happen.
  • Rotary has led the way with a youth protection program to keep students safe. This program is acknowledged as one of the best in the world. To host exchange students Rotary Districts and individual clubs must be accredited and an accredited district can only exchange with another accredited district.
  • No one in youth exchange is paid for what they do. They do it because they believe passionately in the program and want to help students. They appreciate the benefit it brings to the students.
  • The maturity and understanding of others gained by an exchange student changes lives. They are wiser and more self- assured and many go on to achieve more than they ever dreamt they would.
  • Host clubs are Rotary clubs at destination country overseas who look after the student whilst they are on exchange. The Sponsor club is the Rotary club here in Australia who support the student in their application and supply a home counsellor for the student whilst they are overseas.
